Well, the big day finally came!! My friends and I gathered at 34 St and 7th Avenue to begin our trek to Rockville Centre, NY where we attended the doll show "Barbie Comes to New York"! We arrived there at 9:55 am where we perused the show to see what new dolls were waiting to be bought. (Whispering, I was secretly hoping that one of the vendors would be selling some Ellowyne dolls, but sigh..no one was). Anyhoo, after I walked around for a bit, I decided to go sit outside and wait til everyone else had gotten their fill. Other friends arrived later, we saw some people who we met last year and made some new friends this year. My girls were anxiously awaiting their turn for some picture taking, but I was kind of jet-lagged from not getting enough sleep and being anxious for this day. LOL! Well, I did take the girls out and showed them off to my friends. My friends are all into Fashion Royalty and Barbie. I use to like Barbie, but I love these Ellowyne Wilde dolls better! Well, after everyone had gotten their treasures we headed off to find a place to eat. Boy were we hungry! We stopped at a Mariachi restaurant - where they made authentic mexican food. I had a combo order of taco, enchilada, tortilla, rice and beans!! It was very good! I enjoyed the food and the company! A good time was had by all. Then after we all ate, it was time to go. So, we headed back to the train towards 34th Street and Penn Station, then we walked to 42 Street and stopped at Toys R Us. There's alot of people visiting New York! Wow! Well, even though I didn't buy a doll at the show, I ended up getting one at trs. She's a Moxie Teenz named BiJou! I thought she'd make a nice friend for Ello! After buying BiJou, we began our trek to Bryant Park! The day was windy, cold and very gray. But the ladies insisted on having their pictures taken. Who was I to argue? Here they all are!

The dolly outing was a blast! I did pick up one more girl, a Moxie Teenz by the name of BiJou!

ReplyDeleteHey TM! It was a challenge!! But they wanted their pictures taken no matter what - if they had to deal with the cold, then so did I! LOL! We still had fun though and that's the main thing. Thanks for your comments!
